    Exactly two weeks ago i started my firest mead, its a one gallon batch. Today i racked to a clean carboy and took a gravity reading of 1.070 . I had a small taste, it was sweet but damn good.

    I was in the process of making a batch of Jack Kellers strawberry wine, it sat in a open primary covered with a towel. The recipe says to pour the liquids into the secondary ( glass carboy) and now it has about a inch and a half of sediment and no action in the air lock. Did i ruin this batch or...

    I was afraid of that, i followed the recipe when it said "pour" now i have about one and a half inches of sediment on the bottom of the carboy with no action in the airlock. Can this be saved?
