    Force carbonating

When force carbonating, do you have to leave the beer hooked up to the gas line? I've read the different ways of carbing like the "set and forget" and the "shaking" but there is never any mention of whether or not to leave the gas line connected to the keg while it is carbonating.

    Newbie Kegging question

This is probably a stupid question but here goes anyways.... Do you have to fill a keg before carbonating and serving it? Does it change the process/time to carbonate at all? I want to put 2.5 - 3 Gallons of beer into a 5 Gallon corny. I'm asking because I made a batch of stout a few weeks...

    Keg set up in Ontario

So I bought some guys whole set up the other day. I'm pretty sure I got a good deal as I was thinking of buying all the components and they were seeming to add up pretty quickly. I'll post some pictures once I get it set up, but for $350 I got: A freezer converted with a single chrome tower/tap...

So what are the condition of the cornies at princess auto? do they need new seals or any other new parts? Moose, if you don't mind checking those out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

    Keg set up in Ontario

I'm in Cambridge, ON which is about an hour west of Toronto Princess auto for cornies? I may have to check that out. You are saying you used Praxair, are you using nirtrogen rather than CO2?

    Keg set up in Ontario

Hey guys, I'm looking for advice on getting a set up in Ontario. Where should I be going for the best deals? I'm thinking about picking up 2 cornies and making a kegerator set up.

    Hello from Ontario

Hey everyone, I've already posted a help topic so I thought I should at least introduce myself. This is my first plung into homebrewing and have jumped in head first. I'm loving the fact that I can make my own beer that tastes great.....most of the time. I'm still researching as much as I can...

    Puzzled.....stuck fermentation?

I had it around 65 for the first week then I moved it upstairs and it is now been at 70 for 3 days. I've tried giving it a swirl but it seems hard to do without shaking everything up...I'm wishing I had used a bucket rather than a glass carboy.

    Puzzled.....stuck fermentation?

Since there has hardly been any fermentation, would aerating and pitching new yeast into a new primary help or ruin the beer?

    Puzzled.....stuck fermentation?

This is my 4th brew and I've always follow John Palmer's guidelines for extract brewing. This problem has happened to my last 2 brews (including this one) unfortunately, the other one was bottled before I checked the hydrometer (Newbie mistake, doh!) Boil 2 gal, cool, add to primary Make...

    Puzzled.....stuck fermentation?
