I've used my s.o.f.c for the last two batches of brew, I ferment in my spare bedroom it's small and is not in the way. changing ice is not a problem, use a 12v adaptor, batteries will not work the 12v fan will drain them fast. the chiller works great.... so have at it..

It still amaze's me, when one of my non-brewing buddy's try a homebrew for the first time. They sniff the glass, to see if it smell's like beer, then they take a sip, they look at the glass then look at me and say "Hey this is good!" and I allways say "Ya I know. So expand a friends horizon...

Remenber wort looks darker in the fermenter.

I ended up with a case of 12 oz pet bottles by mistake, my brew shop sent the wrong stuff, I called them they fixed the mistake. But i now have 24 dark brown soda bottles. So last week when i bottled my Blonde Ale i loaded one of the pet bottles up to see if it is going to work. Is glass...

I agree, I brew light ale's exclusively.My buddy brews the big beers so i have the best of both worlds.
