    Hops in bulk? (Canada)

Was the quality of hops and packaging good? The prices seem almost too good to be true compared to other sellers

    1 ferm chamber, 10 Gallo a beer, 2 yeast

I'm gonna brew 10 gallons orange cascade pale ale on the weekend, and woukd like to put safale 04 in one and Burlington ale yeast in the other. How would I control ferm temps on 2 carboys in the sane ferm chamber. Should I just set the chamber to a specific temp and put the Probe in a jug of...

    Buying old hops

Typically use what I have. I buy fresh hops if I make a recipe that calls for something I don't have on hand

    Buying old hops

Yes, my hops are stored in a vacuum seal bag in the freezer. I have never had any problems brewing with any of them

    Buying old hops

I was shopping online for some hops today and found some cascade, centenial hops from 2016 for a very low price, does anyone think there would be a problem with these. I have hops stored in vacuum bags for years now and have 0 problems, so I think it would be ok as long as they were stored well.

    2 carboys in ferm chamber

I've been switching the probe back and forth all day, between the carboys and they are both pretty much at the same temp.

    2 carboys in ferm chamber

just upgraded my brew rig and started doing 10g batches, so no I have 2 car boys in my ferm chamber at the same time. How should I go about temp control, tape the Probe to one carboy and assume they will both stay around the same temps, or set the ferm chamber to temp and let it go like that.

    Sight glass heatshield

Yah these burners are badass, I've been using a regular turkey fryer for years, tried the bg 14 yesterday and was impressed, took under 15 mins to bring 20 liters to a boil. The heat shield I made are big enough to shield the sight glass/thermometer and the ball valve. When you say hot...

    Sight glass heatshield

It's more because the flame passes the kettle just enough to get the sight glass hot enough to melt. An actual glass sight glass isn't a bad idea though

    Sight glass heatshield

I use it on my boil kettle, to make sure I have the right volume pre boil

    It's plastic
