Cheap Homemade Fermentation Chamber - Food Delivery Bag.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my fermentation chamber. It's just a giant pizza delivery bag with a hole cut out for the spunding valve, an airlock would work too. My 7.9 gallon all rounder fits pretty well. Also, because I live in an apartment, the bag folds up nicely when I'm not using...

    Oxebar Keg?

Really? Hmm...I maybe I'll get a couple and see how it goes.

    Oxebar Keg?

Man those are cool, but too tall for my fridge. I use 2.6 gallon kegs that top out at 15.5 inches and I can just squeeze them on the top shelf of my fridge. Those are 20.5 inches not including the Ball Lock Adapter which probably brings it 24 inches. No way I can get one of those upright...if...

Conditioning Finished Beer in Fermzilla All Rounder

Yes. I do a closed transfer. It can go to 35 PSI or so. I've fermented and had it up to 20psi, but I usually transfer and then keg condition. I want to see if I can get it conditioned in the fermenter though if I can!

Conditioning Finished Beer in Fermzilla All Rounder

I have a spunding valve too. You prime in the All Rounder?

Conditioning Finished Beer in Fermzilla All Rounder

Possibly (probably) a stupid question. I have an All Rounder, which I really like. Usually I've pressure transferred directly to the keg and then conditioned using corn sugar in the keg. I only pressure ferment at about 2 or 3 PSI. I used to do higher but my beers didn't taste as good...

    Anvil's Sledge PET-fermentors/Kegs

I didn't know about Keg King until Noob_Brewer pointed it out!

    Anvil's Sledge PET-fermentors/Kegs

I'm using a fermentasaurus and love it. I've only brewed 2 batches in it so far, but I love being able to keg almost fully carbed beer. I used to ferment in my anvil kettle, but I'll never go back now!

    Anvil's Sledge PET-fermentors/Kegs

I got an email about these ferementors/kegs a few days ago. What does everyone else think? Personally, I think they are a little pricey...especially because PET needs to be replaced every few years. However, the convenience of fermenting and kegging from a single vessel would be nice...

How to safely add spices, yeast nutrient, etc.

I've, thankfully, not had a problem with later additions. I just pop the top of the fermenter off and drop in whatever. My understanding is an active fermentation with an already healthy yeast strain is a pretty unwelcome environment for stray nasties. I have started using magnets to...

    Favorite/Worst Cheap Beer?

My favorite cheap beer is really malt liquor - Mickey's. Worst cheap beer is really hard but probably Keystone.

Pressure Fermentation. Does it Really Work?

From what I've re So, I have a few 2.5 gallon kegs, I use sodastream tanks for dispensing but not force carbing, I prime. How do you handle carbanation? You're over halfway there it looks like. How do you finish off the priming?

Pressure Fermentation. Does it Really Work?

What temperature are fermenting? I'm really interested in pressure fermentation because of my lack of cold-side temperature control. I live in a small NYC apartment with wife and kids - I can only have so much equipment! I'm doing 2.5 gallon batches and want to do 5 gallon. I can temp control...

    Pressurized Fermentation- Target Yeast Temperatures?

At the end of that podcast they talk about doing ale experiments with pressure fermentation with temperatures in the 80s. I'm curious about those results too.

    Omega Lutra yeast?

I made 2 all extract ESBs. One with Lutra at room temp and one with US 05 at 66F for 10 days. I couldn't tell the difference between the two in a "blind" side by side. I'm going to use Lutra more in the future.
