Brewed yesterday and the entire time kept touching the thermo throughout the whole boil and it was lukewarm. Here is a shot of of my biab spill, first all grain that was somewhat successful besides knocking the grains everywhere after rinsing them.
I have a blichmann thermometer that I got today and want to install it on my keggle but don't know if it is to close to the ball valve or heat from the propane burner. The black for to the right of the ball valve is where im thinking of putting it. what do you think is a good spot for 5 gallon ag?
Made a star sans solution and let it sit for a while then scrubbed it with a sponge, took the spots away. Thanks for the help. I'm hoping once I brew this weekend on the keggle they don't reappear. Thanks again!
No, I didn't, all I did was rinse it out, should I use a oxygen based cleaner or just simple dish soap? Would there be a negative effect from dish soap?
I just converted a keg to a keggle and and got a propane burner for brewing outdoors. I put three gallons of water in the keg and timed how long it would take to boil so I could figure out times for brew day.
Once the water had cooled and i poured it out, I noticed these dots along the bottom...
Why hello there.
This is my first time posting on the site but have been brewing for about a year (using the site for reference all along as well).
I may have over primed part of a hefeweizen that I bottled on sunday.
Part one: Wanted to spit into 4 different batches for adding flavor...
