Well unfortunately I haven't gotten to that stage of my brew stand build. Finding a keg for my mlt is next on the list so hopefully I will have it going soon.I've done some tests and I know the mat will work for the mlt running on just 120v. I don't think I'll end up trying it on a kettle for a...
You should be fine. I use my chugger to recirc the mash and to whirl pool in the bk and I haven't had a problem even with sucking hop particles through it.
I was thinking I could add frozen strawberries to it in a hop bag since technically you dont have to pasteurize frozen fruit. What kind of problems would I have with that. I've tried artificial flavoring and didn't care for it. I'm supposed to be serving it at my wedding on sat along with a...
I brewed and kegged an American Wheat and it tastes like crap (crap to me). I'm not sure if it is because of my recipe or a slight infection. I was thinking about trying to add strwberries to the keg to add a more appealing flavor and cover up the flavor I'm not liking. Can I do that? Any tips...
I had one but I think it was because I decided to use some old yeast and was to lazy to make a starter. It never really started fermenting and two weeks later it was moldy. Lesson learned. Don't be lazy and use happy healthy yeast.
The guy I got the mats from uses them to heat a press that runs from 165 to 150 degrees 8 hours a day. He said if I ran them at 120v they could hit about 175 and at 220v they would easily go over 200.
Would the heat source coming from the sides change the physics of the boil?
Any ideas of...
I'm in the begining stages of planning a electric build and I got two Wattco Slicone rubber sheets that can reach 450 degrees for free. So I thought I would use one for the MLT and one for the boil kettle. The plan is to wrap the heaters around the keggles so the entire walls will be heated. I...
I've been looking at temp controllers for my keezer build and I have one question. With a love ts2 and a probe being only about $66 shipped
(drillspot.com), Why would anyone get a analog johnson for close to the same price? For what you get with a love it seems like a no-brainer.
Am I...
I just wash English ale yeast from a pale ale and I couldn't get it to mix well. The yeast stayed clumpy and after putting it into the jars it almost looks like water with minimum trup. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to test one of the jars to see if I do infact have some yeast...
I'm about to do my first all-grain and Im making the Good Life Pale Ale out of the homebrewers companion. It calls for step infusion but I would rather just do a single infusion. How would it and how much would it change the outcome of the recipe?
Thanks
Are you still taking orders for this buy? Also would anyone happen to be driving up to the glenwood/rifle area after the buy that I could organize a pick up with?
