    You are right I am reading the hydro meter...what can I say I am a newbie...my next batch I will take my readings...and be able to calculate correctly...thanks for the help :)

    so I have brewed 2 batches so far and both times I have an alcohol content of 4% I am not understanding why...hope someone can help....:mug:

    fermentation explosion :(

    greetings all this was my first batch and I used a lock. The plug blew off and it went on the floor. At least 8 hours had past before I discovered it. What I need to know is the batch ruined? I cleaned the stopper and the lock and replaced...but if its ruined I need to start again.:(
