I use a belgian witbier recipe kit from Midwest Supplies but am not completely satisfied with the end result.....The kit comes with dried orange peel and a little bag of coriander. It tastes okay but I was expecting something closer to a Hoegaarden or Blue Moon and it's nothing like that...

I brewed my first beer last Fri (4/20).....it fermented great at 70-73 degrees through Sat. (4/21)....On sun. the temp dropped to 63.....SG 1.044....on Sun. did some research took anoher hydrometer reading...1.020.....has been this since then.....Warmed it up to 70 degrees...stirred it up to...
Thanks so much! I can see now I have a whole lot to learn......I think you're right....Lagers will need to wait until I gain some much needed experience......I can't wait to brew and taste my first brew.........Thanks again and I'm sure I'll have more questions soon!
How would I know if the lagers were out of my equipments ability to start? The kit he bought isn't a starter kit....it's supposed to be the "complete kit" I can't wait to get started......Do I have to be mindful of the temperature in my fermenting room or just make sure it's warm in there?
