first attempt at AG, what did I do wrong?

I previously used a cheap dial thermometer and was having similar issues with attenuation I switched to a glass lab thermometer and found that the dial was measuring 8 degrees hotter. This means that when I thought my mash was at 152, it was actually at 144.

    Calculating Dissolved Oxygen

I am brewing a barleywine this weekend. Last time I tried barleywine, my fermentation stalled and I ended up throwing the batch out. This time, I am getting setup with a starter and oxygen system to avoid any possible problems. I have a welding O2 bottle, regulator, filter, and .5 micron...

    Refrigerator for 3 gallon keg

It's working fairly well. I've made some upgrades to it since I last posted. I now have a 5 gallon keg and the 3 gallon keg in it at the same time. I also installed a dual tap tower with a cooling fan. Everything is still working well.

    Kegerator Foam issue

It could still be the line length. Before I had 10 foot lines, I had the exact same issue in a picnic tap. Since the tap was always in the fridge, it didn't have any cooling issues. When you pour the first glass, the pressure inside the keg drops. The regulator hasn't been able to fully...

    Refrigerator for 3 gallon keg

I wanted to give a quick update on how this setup is working for me. The fridge that is pictured is sears item number 99619. The minimum temperature out of the box is 42. This would be great if I had longer lines, but I only have the 5ft lines that came with my keg kit from midwest. I...

    2.5 or 3 gallon kegs

I bought a three gallon from Midwest a while back. Used 3 gallons are really hard to find and tend to be just as expensive. If I recall, they had 2.5 gal kegs in stock when I bought mine

Regulator VS a Valve, whats the difference?

I like to think of it as though a regulator is a valve that can automatically shut itself off when the desired pressure is released.

    grapefruit pale ale

I made a batch of the Brooklyn Grapefruit honey ale last weekend. Definitely more of a pale ale. They use grapefruit peels to get the flavor.

    Refrigerator for 3 gallon keg

Sears ended up not having that cooler in stock when they said they would, so I grabbed the next size up. Here is how everything fits.

    Refrigerator for 3 gallon keg

Thanks for the advice. I went around with a tape measure and found a great deal on this wine cooler at Sears. Unlike most wine coolers, it's compressor driven. Plenty of space for a 3 gallon keg. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_04699609000P?prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2

    Refrigerator for 3 gallon keg

I'm working on setting up a 3 gallon keg system. I've read quite a bit of info on mini fridges and it seems like a 4.5 cf is the way to go for 5 gallon kegs. My problem with the 4.5 cf is that the ones I've found are just slightly too deep for the space (20 in max). There are quite a few...
