Yes this is the type of setup I was thinking. I just wasn't sure if a mini fridge would be large enough. I agree, pulling the freezer portion would be simple enough. Might be a stupid question but, on these mini fridges, what seperates the temperature from the main part and the small icebox...

I was thinking about this as well. I posted in the begginers forum asking about mini friges. Could a mini fridge be used as a fermenter without too much modification? Would it be able to get low enough for an occasional lager?

I can pick up a Danby 5.2 cubic ft kegorater fairly cheap. Does anyone use one of these to ferment in? Will they hold a 5 gal keg and a fermenter or is there not enough room? I don't keg yet but eventually want to get there. Is using the same fridge for legging and fermenting a bad idea?

What would you recommend? I do not have the ability to brew under temprature control yet, I don't have a spare fridge.

Hi all. Very new to brewing. I have my first batch going now which is a nut brown ale. I want to start a second batch soon. I want to try a pilsner but I don't know if they are diffucult like lagers are. Do pilsners have to be cold fermented?

Do you have any 16oz or flip tops? I live local and can pick up.
