Fermizilla - Pressure Fermentation - Noisy Ferment!

Hi. This has been quite a learning experience for me so glad to have just about come to the end of my first pressure ferment! Pressure on spunding valve was 1 bar (15 psi) but it appears I made some incorrect assumptions on how it all works. I was convinced I had a leak as the spunding valve...

Fermizilla - Pressure Fermentation - Noisy Ferment!

Hi All I've got a Helles fermenting in a Fermzilla 30L pressure fermenter. It's the first time I've tried this method and things appear to be going fine. However, when I open the fridge to take a peek there are all sorts of squeaks and whistles coming from the fermenter. I'm pretty sure the...

Combined Fridge/Freezer - can it be used for a kegerator?

Wow. That sounds some setup! Nice one. I managed to luck out today and got a (to my mind at least) pretty decent new unit on Gumtree - plenty of room for a couple of kegs and some shelves for bottles/yeast etc. Thanks for all the replies guys - good to know there's help/advice when unsure.

Combined Fridge/Freezer - can it be used for a kegerator?

And when I say "minimum" I mean the setting at which the thermostat is at it's highest point - i.e. the warmest temperature it will go.

Combined Fridge/Freezer - can it be used for a kegerator?

Interesting. I've had a couple of thermometers monitoring the fridge temperature today and - even on the "minimum" setting - the temp in the fridge is 35F - which I assumed is way too low for kegs. Maybe I just rig up the ink-bird to a slightly higher temperature and leave it as it is. Cheers!

Combined Fridge/Freezer - can it be used for a kegerator?

Thank you - appreciate the reply. I'll have another google and see what I can work out :-)

Combined Fridge/Freezer - can it be used for a kegerator?

Similar question to this thread: What to do with standard upright fridge/freezer I have somehow accumulated three fridges in the brew shed - one only has capacity for fermenting with the narrow fermentation buckets (or can take one keg as a kegerator), one is a decent size and will take two...

    Oxidized batch?

So - conditioned the Californian Common for about 6 weeks and opened a few last night and it was great - no oxidisation as far as I could tell. Thanks all for chipping in - appreciate it!

    Oxidized batch?

    Will do - and thanks

    Oxidized batch?

Thank you for that - just so annoyed with myself! I'll give it a go in a couple of weeks and see how its doing. I guess its all part of the learning curve - I won't be making that mistake again. Thanks again.

    Oxidized batch?

I bottled a batch of California Common a couple of days ago - had issues from start to finish. My new bottling stick just didn't work - the flow was minimal so I sealed the fermenter to prevent contamination and sourced an alternative stick. Stupidly I somehow created a vacuum by closing the...
