Carbing beer to be stored at room temperature

I'm new to kegging but I think you can add some priming sugar, purge the o2 and add 30psi CO2 and let it condition at room temperature.

    Leak question

Last week I lost a tank of co2 to a leak after hooking up a new keg.... Not a huge deal as I'm fortunate enough to have a great supplier really close by. I refilled the tank, found and fixed a leak then I pressurized the two kegs and shut off the co2 tank. The pressure in the tanks was 11psi...

PSI setting for carbing vs serving

I'm a noob, but I havent seen this mentioned, maybe someone could verify- I think you can force carb at 25psi, then when you are serving dial it back to 12psi, release some pressure from the keg and then serve, then up it back to 25psi after the session. Obviously not as ideal as having the...

Co2 refill. Different kind of Co2?

I've heard, on here somewhere, that there is food grade CO2 and regular CO2. Supposedly some CO2 places have a little oil added for mechanical reasons. Not really sure, someone else can probably answer better. I get my CO2 from a medical gas place and they assured me it was food safe.

    Just bottled fizzy wine

So I bottled fizzy wine... Corked it and all. It wasn't too bubbly but just a little fizzy. Will this pop my corks? I'll check over the next few weeks to check on it but don't know what to expect. It's my first wine, the kit said to wait 4 weeks but I waited 7 and degassed at time of...

    beer line cleaning

I just read on another thread that people use Oxyclean free followed by starsan. I had the same questions as I just kegged my first beer last night!

One more guy going pro - Man Skirt Brewing

Awesome! You're not going to be too far from me. Make sure you get the Clover Leaf to have your beers on tap so that I can try a few.

how much should a co2 refill cost?

The place I go to told me they charge $10 a tank... I only have a 5 pounder, not sure if it would still be $10 if I brought in a 50 pounder.

    kegerator / kegging problems

The CO2 gets distributed throughout the beer... as Toy4Rick stated, you have to leave it at 12 PSI for a week. It needs to stay connected to the co2 container the entire time and preferably cold.

    CO2 Refills in NJ

This place is awesome! They filled my brand new tank for $10 and the people couldn't have been nicer. I petted the dog for you as well. Thanks for the recommendation!

Brew in a Bag a Good Transition to All Grain Brewing Without Intimidation

I think this has inspired me to move on from Extracts to a BIAB setup. Now to buy the bag, boiler and larger kettle.

Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

My wife and I went up to Montreal 5 years ago... There was a brewpub close to our hotel, the very first beer I had was the most wretched thing I ever drank in my life... Brutopia Nigerian Nectar It tasted of peaches soaked in tobacco... Horrid. To be fair the rest of their beers were...

    Accidentally bought 2 kits, storage?

Freeze the hops... the grains should last a couple months as long as its not too hot where its stored. I would worry more about bugs/critters getting to it. Just brew it as soon as you have a free fermenter.
