    Custom Tap Handles

I did. It was fairly easy to do and they turned out good. I was even able to find a lot of 10 plates with the numbers I needed for 4 taps.

    Custom Tap Handles

I’ve already ordered a lot of plates off eBay to number my taps 1-4. Thanks for the inspiration.

Buddy Christ and the license plate ideas are great. I may be borrowing them.

    Fermentasaurus and display refrigerator

I was using a bucket for fermenting at the time (recently upgraded to SS Brew Bucket) so I don’t think a picture would be helpful. I didn’t see any changes in fermenting temperature, but the light issue didn’t occur to me until a week into it. Much of the active fermentation was likely already done.

    Fermentasaurus and display refrigerator

I had a similar concern and used some reflectix that I had left over from insulating my kettle during mash. Seemed to work and looked nice.

    Stainless Steel Fermenters

I recently purchased my first SS fermenter and ended up going with the brew bucket only because it fit my fermentation chamber (wine fridge). Otherwise I would have gone with the Anvil and saved the money.

    Refractometer Question

Thanks all for the feedback Shawn3997 - did you use the spreadsheet to determine your wort correction factor or just going with the default?

    Refractometer Question

My understanding is the a refractometer will not accurately gauge FG due to the presence of alcohol and a hydrometer should be used instead. Can I still use the refractometer to gauge if fermentation is done by comparing the readings a few days apart? In other words will a refractometer give me...

Gas In Quick Disconnect Leak or ?

Thanks for the advice Double D. I changed the O-Rings on the posts and problem seems solved after a week. I wasn't happy with the disconnect so I got "better" ones and even those leaked when pressed on the side. I replaced the o-rings and no leaks when pressed. Cheap solution and I will be...

Gas In Quick Disconnect Leak or ?

I've gone through about 4-5 kegs on my new Keezer without issue and all of a sudden I am dealing with a leak that has cost me a tank and a half of CO2. I've tightened all connections and lubed o-rings with no success. The only thing I can think of is that if I press or tap on the gas in...

How Do I Get My Kegerator a Few Degrees Cooler?

Thanks for the help. It is surprising how much the fan helps. I am seeing 10 degrees cooler after I run it for a couple hours! It is strange that the fan gets so loud when the door is closed, however they aren't expensive, so I will be picking up a new one soon to see if it is any quieter.

How Do I Get My Kegerator a Few Degrees Cooler?

I tried the fan and it worked, got it 3 degrees cooler then it has ever been in a short amount of time. I used a salvaged pc fan and a 12 volt power supply. My concern is that the fan got louder after it ran for 30 minutes or so. I don't know if it is just old or had more trouble pushing...

How Do I Get My Kegerator a Few Degrees Cooler?

How Do I Get My Kegerator a Few Degrees Cooler?

My DIY kegerator is up and running and pouring tasty beer. Everything is working great, however I would like to get it a few degrees cooler. It is currently pouring at 50 or so degrees. Any tips or hacks to get it down cooler? Would a temperature controller like a STC-1000 help? The...
