    paper wrap

Not sure what the paper would be called but it might be easier to find a supplier of paper that goes over trays in BBQ style restaurants, would imagine it's the same . Buy a wrapped beer and flatten out the paper to get an idea of what size and where you need to print on it for it to work on a...

    Repitching yeast to unstick fermentation?

Tested the gravity and still at 1032, if it's not moved by Sunday I may just dump it

    Repitching yeast to unstick fermentation?

The heating belt has kept it a steady temperature, I roused the yeast bed multiple times, still no significant drop - maybe 2 points in as many weeks. Was 1032 last night but I repitched some more yeast (despite almost every article I read saying it probably wouldn't help) and it seems like it...

    Repitching yeast to unstick fermentation?

I did my first BIAB last weekend, my OG was supposed to be 1054 but it came out at 1058. Two days after pitching, the gravity had fallen to 1036 so seemed to be chugging along nicely (I never really see airlock activity, I suspect by bucket has a dodgy seal, but the lid has been nice and...

    Vanilla Bean Advice

I used 2 beans, scraped out the inside and chopped up the rest of the bean and added both to the fermenter about four days after pitching the yeast. Batch was 5 gallon porter. Vanilla was good, although possibly even too vanilla-y for my personal taste, so an ounce seems a tad excessive to me.

Let's see your furry brew buddy!

Yes! I love mouse limousines / cat snakes. I have 4 myself, this is the only one allowed to bubble around in the kitchen because he can't get into any trouble, although I don't let him in on brewday as sugar is particularly dangerous to them, however when drinking a beer he will immediately...

    First time using white labs

There's Krausen and the lid is swelling, airlock is not bubbling, but I probably have a leaky seal. Pretty sure it's all underway now.

    First time using white labs

The packet was pretty swollen by brew day but not enough pressure to spray out. It says to warm to room temperature before pitching, but it had been sat at that temperature since (at least) I received it. Seems to be active now though, so panics over :)

    First time using white labs

I would assume it shipped from white labs to the UK insulted but once shipped from the home brew shop they didn't, as it would arrive in a few days. Can't say for sure though! Barrel lid seems to be swelling nicely now anyway :)

    beer turning gray in keg

I have no solution, but could you post a photo of the grey beer? Just curious!

    First time using white labs

Yesterday, I used a sachet of white labs yeast on a vanilla porter. I noticed on brewday that on the packet it said to store at 4 degrees, I had not done this, it's been sat at room temperature since I've had it (about a week). It was not shipped to me with any insulation so I didn't even think...

    Chili Pepper Beer

Sounds like the Rogue one, I'm curious to try it but being from the UK it's even more expensive as its imported. Also not sure if I want 660ml (sorry 22oz) of Sriracha beer in one sittting.

    Adding Fruit to Extract Beer

I'm guessing I shouldn't use priming sugar or anything as well as the kiwis will contain enough?

    Adding Fruit to Extract Beer

My carboy is only 1 gallon, do you think I should only fill half, and leave half for krausen or can I get away with a bit more? How much fruit should I use, I'm going to boil/juice it otherwise the whole fruit will never come out the neck of the carboy, so it will be in liquid form of that makes...
