Ok so to clarify I don't need to boil first and then cool to 155 for the mashing? This makes sense bc once it's boiled it would kill anything that could have potentially got in there from the mashing? Correct? Thanks again for the response (s)
Also I read how if you taking a hydrometer reading into high temperature that it will skew the numbers some so it sounds like the original gravity would have been even higher if I would have done it in the normal 65°.
