Planning my next beer to be a Hefe

So, my next beer is going the be a Hefe and while I have the recipe pretty nailed down, after reading a few threads I am in a bit of a quandary. My initial plan was to use the Weinstaphen (sp?) strain, but have been reading about the WLP300 and the Munich classic and am torn now on what yeast...

    New member

Greetings from the sometimes sunny San Francisco bay area. I still consider myself an armature even though I have been doing this for about 4 years. Enjoy the hobby and ask questions. These folks are serious rock stars when it comes to exchanging info and helping out.

    What are you drinking now?

Opened up one of my Helles yesterday. Was not really clear, but the taste was good. Going to buy a pro brewed Helles to see how close I got, but this had a nice clean taste with a hint of hops and a nice malt character to it.

    Peach IPA

I sent Sierra Nevada a message to see what they would be willing to tell me. It was a very very distinct peach finish that I would say was nice. I can see having too many might wear the stomach and the taste buds out though. LOL

    Peach IPA

OK, let me first say I am not the most refined palate out there and probably worse since many of the IPA's are so hop forward that I think I lost a bit. But, I ran into Sierra Nevada Peach Little Think IPA. Wow, I got the peach right away and man is it good. I looked at the recipe on their...

Newbie with no idea seeks lager recipe

I agree. Having bought a used Grainfather I can attest they have some really good recipes in the app and pretty good instructions on said recipes are provided by the authors of them. I think what everyone was trying to say was that keeping it simple to start works really well in most cases...

For Sale Electric Brewery & Supplies $3,500 Alabama

Bummer you are having trouble. I see a few pieces I would love to have, shipping would probably kill the deal for me in California. I am very surprised to be honest that nobody has taken up on this. If you are looking to part it out, maybe you might get some takers on some of the stuff.
