Some sediment in bottle conditioned beer is inevitable, it's also a defining characteristic of bottled homebrew. You just pour the beer off slowly and leave the last eighth of an inch (with the sediment) behind. It's all good :D

Using extract - this is one of those "will my wife drink it?" kind of efforts. Not something I'd really make for myself, but she's been really supportive of my newfound time consumer despite the fact that she doesn't drink beer herself. Maybe this is a guilt driven attempt - I dunno...

I think he means he didn't know about substituting DME for the corn sugar that the kit contained or recommended. Probably a can or two of the John Bull (LME) went in there. Kind of too little information to know if there's a problem yet, but I would doubt it - if this is your first brew you're...
