    Hops and grains VS the can?

    So I just helped a buddy make a batch and I've always done the grains, hops, and malt. His first batch was he porter that came in a Cooper can. His process was 10x faster and slot easier! I would like to hear everybodys input on which method they prefer and why?

    Blackberry beer

    alright thanks I was starting to get a little worried. I am also adding blackberrys to the secondary. Would it be ok to juice 3lbs and just throw that into the secondary?

    Trouble with my carbonation

    I've been naturally carbonating my bottles and I feel as if 50% of the time depending on the batch they come out under carbonated and others just fine. I'm a little nervous now b/c coming up here in 3 weeks I will be bottling 6gal. Rather then 5gal. Any advice?

    Hops

    I've been just throwing my hops straight into the pot, and it gets a little tedious straining them out. Does anyone else do this or is it ok to use the socks as well to speed the process up?

    Blackberry beer

    I just recently made black berry porter. I mashed 2.5 pounds of blackberries and threw them into the primary. The next day fermentation kicked off but the berries were floating atop my Carboy. Is there anything to be concerned about?
