    PWM..Show us How

Thank you for the reply. I'm obviously not up on this system and until your reply had not traced out all of the wires. I figured the 2nd PID would control the BK and didn't understand why or how the POT would also control it. I guess you just do a visual and then alter the boil by using the...

Pros/cons of aerating with pure oxygen

I'm a scuba diver so I use nitrox at a 40% mix and hook one end of the feed hose to a stone and the other end to an old inflator hose that is connected to my regulator then crack the valve open for a few minutes and there you have it!

Another hop project - Lake County Florida

Try nugget or cascade and make sure they are in an area where they will get relief from the florida sun. I have had best luck with nugget this year. They are new since I moved and lost interest last year. I finally found a great spot under a huge oak tree. No fert so far just miracle grow...

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

chaos seems to have the best system for growing hops around this area in florida. I was able to get about 100+ hops from my nugget and cascade hops last year until aphids and heat all but stopped progress. I used liquid miracle grow in the water and had them in pots. My centennial hops did...

    Hop pellets

Trub is yeast and by-product from fermentation of wert that settles on the bottom of your carboy. You don't need a bag for hops in your carboy/fermenting chamber but I would use one in your boiling pot unless you are using a false bottom. Chiller plate is copper tubing used in cooling the wert.

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

Cool. I sprayed neem oil and it killed a lot of leaves. I just let them go from there and they are not as bad but are still around. I'm going to have to try the ladybug option. I heard that the ladybugs like marygolds 2.

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

I just picked some more hops yesterday. The aphids are horrible. I used neem oil to try to hold them off but lost a lot of leaves because of this. To date I have picked about 250 cascade, 200 nugget and last but least 35 centennial. Port Saint Lucie florida. I'm not sure how the rest of the...
