Small batch kegging or BAD A** growler

I have seen those before, but I was always hoping for a full gallon, not a half gallon. I also read through their blog/site/facebook and I believe that may be their original product which they said has already been out for several years and sold through different avenues, the 128 size is the...

Small batch kegging or BAD A** growler

Hey y'all, I posted this in the kegging section as well, but wanted to place here too for non keggers interested in the growler capabilities. Makes for a very awesome growler which can keep beer good for a long time if you go the CO2 route. I've been searching for quite some time to keg in...

New small batch, 1 gallon kegging opportunity

Hey y'all, I've been searching for quite some time to keg in a small way both in volume and space, essentially been looking for a less than 2 gallon keg with a smaller diameter than a typical corny. I know the old Taylor syrup kegs exist out there, but they're spotted about as frequently as...

    DIY Interwoven "Rib-Cage" Immersion Chiller

Awesome, thank you. That's what I was hoping when I was checking out everything at Home Depot last night, but unfortunately they were out of stock on the barbed connection for the hose.

    DIY Interwoven "Rib-Cage" Immersion Chiller

Hi all, Quick question. I'm trying to build an IC like this but I live in an apartment so will be hooking up to the sink faucet instead of a hose. Are these the two items I mainly need for the portion to attach to the faucet? Is the second how everyone mainly used to connect to the hosing? I'll...

    First Time Cider Maker

Hey everyone, Made another IPA last weekend and still have the "brew itch" goin so I thought I'd give this a try. I've read A LOT of pages on a lot of threads and feel good about giving this a shot. My plan is to use an appropriate juice, appropriate meaning it doesn't contain the fermentation...

Too hot in Texas for a wheat?

Cheers to trying to keep the house any cooler. I'm not willing to lose an extra $100 bucks per month in AC just for my fermenter. Its already ridiculous just to keep it barely comfortable.

Too hot in Texas for a wheat?

The batch was pitched this past Sunday, so has been fermenting for 4 full days and I've had zero time to go get these supplies. Is it worth it to still impliment this or is the damage done from the initial heavy fermentation? Either way I plan on leaving this in a long primary, at least 3-4...

Too hot in Texas for a wheat?

Thanks for the advice everyone, I appreciate it. I will be sure to apply this to my batches going forward. I just bottled an IPA last night that I probably should have done this for as well. It tasted good from my hydro reading though, guess we'll see in 2-3 weeks. Looking forward to this being...

Too hot in Texas for a wheat?

So it's a little hot down here this time of year, 100+, and I live in an older rental home so the AC struggles a bit. I just brewed up a wheat and am a little worried about fermentation temp and if this will end up too phenolic to enjoy. My house hovers around 79-80. Comments, thoughts...
