Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

Thanks for sharing, I brewed this up a couple weeks ago, just kegged and it tastes pretty damn good. I upped the grain bill equal % to get the SG to 1.071, left the lactose at 1 lb., used US-05. I also wanted to use leaf hops so I ended up substituting 1oz Northern Brewer (60 min) and 1oz...

    Banjo Burner differences?

I bought one burner from NB to do all of my fabrication (and to make sure it's what I was going to use on all 3 keggles) and it's bad-a$$ for sure... But if I can save 20 bucks, I'm ordering them from agri... gotta check shipping though, 7.99 flat shipping from NB is pretty strong!

    Banjo Burner differences?

Just looking at agrisupply's BG-14, 10" cast iron high pressure burner, they rate it at 100k BTU's, while Northern Brewer rates it at 200k... Both sure look like "banjo burners" to me... What gives? Different regulators? I see agri is $10 cheaper per burner... Anyone have experience?

What is that blue adjustable/bendable hose for recirculation?

I'm just going to use it for my recirc tube in the MT, easier than copper, if I have diff size batches it will be super easy to adjust the line to the correct level. Great timing on this thread as I am finishing my keggles now...

    Direct Fired RIMS

I wasnt that concerned with scorching, I was concerned that possibly there would be having to perform too much "on/off" action with the big burner and all the extra BTU's it puts out, kinda like a Top Fuel dragster vs. a Camaro... I havent fired up the rig yet, so this is why I am...

    Direct Fired RIMS

Great minds think alike :mug: I was thinking of something similar, 4 guideposts and a piece of threaded rod for a jackscrew similar in concept to an adjustable spring bucket or panhard bar on a race car. Might be more hassle than it's worth, once you get a good height setting I'm sure it...

Help:MLT Keg build, Direct Fire,No Recirc for now. SS braid or SS false bottom/tube?

I'd only be speaking from what I've researched and not from practical experience, but I thought I would mention since you are going weldless you might want to check out the classifieds, pickles had some awsome 1/2 NPT bulkheads super-cheap... You might be able to save some $$$ doing the build. I...

    Direct Fired RIMS

Well now this thread has me reconsidering using a large KAB under the MT. I like them bc it's a nice wide heat but I don't know how far it can be throttled back and still 'function' - 'low' heat for the KAB still might be too much for the MT... I guess I could just mount it further away, still...

    Keggle MT thermometer placement considerations...

Hey guys n gals... After much delay I am finally finishing up my brew rig. It is a direct-fired RIMS setup, 15" false bottom that sits right at the beginning of the curvature of the kettle bottom. Just got in my brewmometers and I am trying to decide the best place to put this in relation to the...
