Hey guys and gals, I live in Hawaii and it's warm here.
I am having a hard time keeping the fermentation below 78f.
I'm using the wet shirt method.
What can I expect my brews to do? Will they be crap? Taste bad?
Love to hear your experience.
Thanks
I'll be bottling my first Brooklyn kit this Thursday. I have to say I'm having a hard time waiting...LOL
I did a LME brew from Brew Demon/Demon Brew can never get the name right...and will be bottling that
If it's ready on Thursday or Friday. I'm excited I can brew all grain and I'm excited...
Love that beer! I bought one on a camping trip and was sorry I only had one. I have been thinking of trying my hand at it after I have a few brews under my belt. I have a 1 gallon chocolate maple porter going and a 2 gallon pilsner. Chipotle stout is next!
I agree with this, I have only brewed once but the cover suggestion is a good one. I was at the end of my wort boil and thought I would steam sanitize the cover by loosely putting it on the pot, well I turn my back and the cover slipped all the way on and boom, sticky over boil mess.
My take on it is this, I started last week. I did an all grain 1 gallon kit from Brooklyn Brewery.
I went with the smaller size because of room issues and I wanted to make sure I like doing it
And if I started smaller it wouldn't be so scary when I do a larger batch as I know the process.
I have...
Great, I purchased this kit and a few refills so I can learn the craft. I liked the idea of small 1 gallon batches as I live in a small place. How was the quality of the finished beer?
