Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I noticed a bunch of errors and warnings when I run ./docker-update.sh. Vaguely remember reading about in an earlier part of thread but can't find it. It's probably nothing but figured I'd post just in case something isn't right. WARN[0000] /home/michael/fermentrack-tools/docker-compose.yml...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

The log doesn't appear to show anything useful. The attached pic shows what came up. Guess it's gonna remain a mystery because I can't see it being a ssd issue, swapped the one that came with mini pc with a very lightly used one. Ran some checks on it and everything appears normal. Also have...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Spoke too soon. Got my first "Internal Server Error". The problem mirrors this post: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/fermentrack-fermentation-monitoring-brewpi-www-replacement-for-raspberry-pi.649303/page-67#post-10298635 with "Internal Server Error" and oddly rendered web pages cycling...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I have a wondering what could have went wrong question. Had a perfect running Fermentrack setup using Linux Mint in Windows Hyper-V. I'm sure it was overkill but was looking for easy since my linux skills are limited. As I started adding more projects to the machine with Hyper-V, realized...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Sorry, read about all the S2 flashing issues and when it didn't work first time, thought nothing could be done. Did the button sequence and everything worked way it should. Usually I read things more closely but planning to brew tomorrow and the 8266 not working anymore threw me into panic mode.

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Is there any way to flash the S2? One of my 8266s died and I very stupidly bought a bunch of S2s as backups.

    Not-So-Obnoxious Baseball Thread

MLB made a deal with Apple to show 25 weeks of Friday games on Apple TV. Unfortunately local providers don't have access to any of these games no matter what. A few years ago when Judge was going for 62 home runs, he had 61 and a Yankee game was scheduled on Apple TV. Our local tried to...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Yes, this is the screenshot of the iSpindle settings itself. The server field has the Fermentrack server ip and path/uri is the iSpindel ip. It somehow works.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Both of my iSpindels have the path/URI set to http://iSpindel_ip/ispindel/ and work fine. Any idea why that is? Set them up so long ago can't remember the why or how I came up with that.

    Fermentrack, iSpindel communication issues.

Try posting in the main Fermentrack thread, I'm pretty sure Thorak monitors that one. It's past my knowledge since your updated settings look good to me. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/fermentrack-fermentation-monitoring-brewpi-www-replacement-for-raspberry-pi.649303/

    Fermentrack, iSpindel communication issues.

When in the main menu of the iSpindel config mode, go into the Information button. When inside there copy the Station MAC id. The name within your router is usually ESP-XXXXXX. If you only have 1 ESP device it's pretty easy to find but if there are many use the MAC id. You can set it to a...

Equally Obnoxious Hockey Trash Talk Thread, eh?

Hope Florida sweeps rest of series. I usually root for 7 games when my team not in it, but Oilers deserve to get embarrassed now. Can't believe Oilers coach didn't put a stop to it.

    Thiolized yeasts are going away

I believe the original mention about this comes from r/Homebrewing. There was a post 22 days ago by a homebrew store in Indianapolis named Great Fermentations. In the post it makes mention of an email received directly from Omega.

Cold Crash Suckback Issue - Resolved

Correct, not using any collected co2. Was just giving OP an alternate idea with setup outlined in 1st post and Items probably on hand, other than a carb cap, that gives a purged keg as well. Other methods could be done to use collected co2 as the suck back source but add cost.

Cold Crash Suckback Issue - Resolved

An alternate method would be to use the keg you're planning to transfer the beer into as the "accumulation" vessel. This will clear the keg of almost all oxygen. Then before cold crashing unhook all the connections, keg and fermentor. Attach a co2 line to the fermentor and put a small amount...
