    Increasing temperature with wort

I want to increase temperature of my mash, but do not want to spend water which is reserved for fly sparge. Is it good (or bad) drain few liters of wort, boil it and pull back to mash? Just the same way as with water.

    Chinook/Cascade Black IPA

Thank You for reply. Yeah, De-Husked Caraf I is too light. I was planning use Caraf III which would contribute more to the color, but local supplied didn't have those. Also I'm a bit afraid to use more than 5% of Caraf I malt but I'm going to take your suggestion and increase up to 0.5kg what...

How much can a bottle handle?

Even same size bottle is not equal to other bottle. I'm not sure if it is easy to find in your region but you can use flip-top bottles if you are afraid of overcarbonation. They are at least twice stronger than reqular 0.5l or 0.33l bottles. I've used those for my cider.

    Increasing carbonation for cider

I've just made my first cider this year. Fermentation reached 1.000 FG. I have racked cider for 2 times and it is already bottled for 1 month. Some time ago I had bad experience with beer carbonation - succeeded to make few bottle bombs. I'm very cautious since then ;-) Because of that I've...

    Mangrove Jack's M02 Cider yeast

UPDATE after fermentation I've just racked my cider yesterday to another bucket. Cider with M02 yeasts was kept in fermenter for 2 weeks. Temperature was 21-22 degrees C. Yeasts have pushed the first bubble from airlock after 14 hours since pitching. After 24 hours it was bubbling as AK47. They...

    Mangrove Jack's M02 Cider yeast

I'm totally new with making cider. I've recently found M02 Cider Yeast by Mangrove Jack's available at local brewing store. Tried search about them but Mr. Internet was silent. Have you guys tried this yeast? Can you share some experience? What I like about M02 - recommended fermentation...
