    Everyday Simplest Dry Cider

    For some reason FAJC seems to have disappeared from my local supermarkets. I've been going to No Frills in Acton, then tried Valumart in Erin. No luck. Today went down to the Superstore in Georgetown and still no FAJC. Any ideas what to replace this with to carbonate??

    Ginger Chilli Cider

    I make the Simple Cider recipe by phug, and lately have been adding ginger. About 5oz seems pperfect for 5 gallons. I suggest using this as start point, then split into single gallon batches and experimenting with the chilli.

    How many gallons of cider in 2015

    It's a running total. You can add the 5 x 5 gallons I've already made and add another 5 5xgallon batches that I will do by the end of the year for a total of 50 gallons.

    Phug, Ever seen the pear juice on sale? Always can get the AJ for $1 litre at various places, Superstore, Walmart, etc.

    Bottled 5 gallons of this as per recipe. Started another 5, but this time with Cider House Select yeast. Anyone else tried this yeast?
