Interesting find about Inspector Elements.
I have been using isnspector elements as labels or to display a background. In the past I used globals but because of the data exchange overhead I try not to use them.
This is regarding the value you can set using a variable in a Script.
You have to...
Working on my scripts again I was getting an error I could not track down then I remembered.
Global Elements do NOT have the displayname script code. If you try something like:
For any Global that is not a String Type:
"Global 1" displayname ="My Global Element"
you will get the error
[ERROR...
Wow! I was lucky. I did a Brew the other day and had a Quadzilla melt.
I had set up my script so the Quadzilla could only be On if the Pump was On. The Quadzilla and circuit was the heater I had the least issues with.
It started as always as I use it as a heat source for a small HLT. I...
Thanks, I ran my mill for the first time yesterday. I did spray with some water and left it for 20 minutes. The spayer I was using was a very fine mist. I did not measure but will in the future. I did an entire 50 # of Briess Pale Ale Malt. I was making two double batches (One 16 g and...
I have two heating elements in an HLT.
I do have a PWM to voltage converter.
The output of that goes to a 2-10v Propotional Controller.
I was trying to use a Hysteris Element type, but it heats but never reaches the Setpoint. (About 60-70 F below). I tried a Duty Cycle but that does not...

Thanks. I ordered a Gap Guage that read from .5 to 15 mm. I will try about 1.5 to see how it does.
How do you condition the grain? I think I read to mist and leave 6 hours.
I just put my Maltzilla togather. The instruction could have been clearer and what gap to set is non existant. They say add some grain an crush and look at it. I would love to have a starting point. Two credit cards? 4 credit cards? Have seached the web and unless I want to buy a...
Trying to set up some one wires probes.
I created the first one and it read good ( around 75 F). I added a second one and they both now read -196. I have wired it with the data wire to Pin /Port 6 , a 4.7K resistor between the 5 v (from the Mega) and the ground attacted to the Mega as well...
I went back an rechecked (and re documented) my wiring as I am not that neat with it. I made sure that the TF4 is powered with the 5+ volts of the Mega (tied to AREF) and that the ground is tied to a Mega GND. They are all steady now. I am not using the 5 vdc of the Mega for anything else...
Did a major rewire and other stuff to my Brewery but having issues with my 10KNTC probes. All of them continuely "hunt" going Down then Up in unison (All 8 go up and down exactly at the same time.) when they hit the bottom (As an example One: around 8.2 then go up to about 29.8 then back...
I always lager in a keg. Only way to get it to a stable temp for 30 days. I have fermeted in a Keg but have glycol chilled conicals so no longer do that.

This started in the 1970s and you can find events and pubs that serve Real Ale. I was a member long ago.
You can search with filters. Cask Ale Historic Interior and Pub are good choices.
