I am also thinking of purchasing a dark star..seems like a good deal for what i do, which is 5 gallon full volume batches(boiling 6.5 gallons).Does anybody on here have one?..
I would not pay any attention to any off smells if it has only been a few days. Especially for a winter warmer type brew. Off smells occur often depending on what type of yeast and ingredients is used. Now if you are getting near racking to secondary or bottling time then you will need to worry...
