    Get a Real Temp Gauge....Yikes

Thanks...I've seriously taken the approach of "It's just beer, mate" In other words, I'm not overly concerned at this point! Wife and daughter are out of town for a couple days, I'm gonna brew two batches and sip out of the keg, might even watch a little football!

    Get a Real Temp Gauge....Yikes

I was using a oven digital temp. gauge until my father in law came over to help with one of my all grain batches. He told me I was crazy and gave me a 5 reader thermacouple (digital). I just mashed in for the first time today using the new temp gauage. Man, did I miss my temp by 5 degrees...

    New System Test

Thank you guys! I don't think I stirred good enough. I'll keep plugging away at, making small changes in the process to see if that increase eff. That being said, made a rookie mistake and didn't leave enough head space, even though it was a good 6 inches in the top of carboy. Checked on...

First Shot at All Grain might be a bust

Hi Guys: Just got into brewing beer a couple months ago after making wine for a couple years. Anyway, started out with a couple extract brews, built rest of equipment and then decided to get into all grain. That being said, my first all grain was the coldwater 420 recipe floating around here...
