    EZ method for reusing yeast

I've done this a few times. It worked fine. You can also store some of the yeast in a sanitized container in the refrigerator for a short while as well, if you're not planning to rack the old beer and brew new at the same time.

    Brewery Wants My Twitter Handle

The difference being that the guy who owns nissan.com is actually named Uzi Nissan, and he was originally using that domain as a public face for his business. In this case, the OP just grabbed that handle for funsies. I say, like the others do, that you agree to give it to them in exchange...

    Dry "Herbing" experiment

Try it. My guess is that it will come out just fine. Wash the herbs you add first, but don't douse them in any sort of noxious chemical.

my double black ipa label, thoughts?

I'd replace "that fell into the dark abyss" with "that crossed the event horizon." Also, use a different typeface for the text, so it stands out better.

    CO Breweries & Corny Kegs

Why not just call them and ask? My guess would be no, they'd want you buy sanke kegs full of their beer. If you're buying commercial beer anyway, why not just get the proper fitting for your kegerator setup and do it the easy way?

Can I existing yeast cake for a new batch

I've done it with success, where I moved one batch to secondary and brewed a second immediately thereafter. Both batches were of the same style, though. You obviously can't do this if you need a different yeast strain for the second batch.

    Arduino controlled fermentation chamber

Curious: Why use an Arduino Mega and not a regular arduino? Just what you had on hand? Really neat, though. I used a fridge with some bad control parts for my arduino-controlled fermentation chamber/kegerator, which was a lot simpler to implement.

Teenagers in house - how to secure kegs?

Lock the fridge and disconnect the tap from the keg inside. If they have access to the fridge, all they'd have to do is get a party tap and stick it on the keg if they were really curious, even if you did install locks on the tap handles. Regardless, I think the answer here is to let them...

    Keg Swaps / Guest Taps

I like the guest tap idea. Holy crap, though, six ten-gallon batches at a time? Do you have tons of totally wicked parties or something? Sixty gallons would last me an awfully long time with only me drinking it.

Added ALL the extract *after* the boil. Was this a terrible mistake??

If you used steeping grains, you'd have done that part prior to the boil.

Sierra Nevada Old Chico (crystal wheat) now in cans.

Surely not. That's about what it costs at grocery stores here in Texas.

My EB Build thread - it's going to take some work!

Yeah, but then the oil leaks into your basement. :( Seriously, though, you hit the bedrock in my back yard if you dig more than about 3 feet.

My EB Build thread - it's going to take some work!

Man, that is wicked cool. I wish we could have basements here in Texas, so I wouldn't have to sacrifice my garage for a workspace like this.

Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

Dunno. It looked a lot like Corona, with a clear bottle. I had it in this little restaurant in Clute while I was there for field work. The food at the restaurant was awesome, but all they had to drink were BMC and Landshark. :(

Worst Commercial Beer You've Ever Had?

Really? I didn't think it was stellar, but I didn't think that was terrible, either. The worst beer I can remember was something called Landshark. It tasted like a BMC american lager, except awful.
