    90% done electric build

Thank you for the nice words. There are many things on this forum to help everyone. I made the mistake of using 10 and 12 gauge wire for everything, when I could have gone smaller with the controls. Also, rolling a herms coil is a PITA!! I think buying a pre rolled one with fittings may be...

    90% done electric build

So as I am sitting here waiting for my Auber PID to auto tune. I decided to upload some pictures of my eherms build. It is your basic Kal clone except I chose to hard wire some plugs into the table. If I can find them, I will show the conduit in the back of the table.

    Beware of Auber Instruments

I bought my stuff from Auber and upon receiving it, I noticed that i was missing an item. I called the number on the packing slip, explained my problem, sent a picture of the contents as per their request and had my missing parts 3 days later. The customer service was good for me. I am sorry to...

    Kettles with Electric ports?

Does anyone know of any companies that sell kettles with 1 inch NPT fittings in them already. After failing to silver solder a welding spud into my keggle and paying a welder way too much to do it for me, I was wondering if there were any pre made ones commercially available. I would like to...

    help on final eherm touches

I am almost done with my eherms build. I am using a 50L keggle for an hlt, a 10 gallon Cooler for a mlt, and a 15.5 gallon keggle for a bk,1 pump. I am looking for recommendations for a false bottom (I currently use a cpvc manifold) and materials for the coil. I was thinking of...

    A couple of Questions?

Hi, I have been searching this forum for months, planning my electric brewery. It will consist of 2 keggles and a 10 gallon cooler for a MLT. I can't seem to find SPST ON/OFF switches from Auber Ins. Are these them? Also, I am looking into being able to run both elements together, Is...

Best place to improve to increase efficiency?

Thanks everyone for the advise. I have only been brewing for a short time but it has been fast and furious. about 16 batches in the last 4 months. We brew every thursday. That being said....have kegs in the basement is a test of one's will. I hope to upgrade to an electric system by winter.

Best place to improve to increase efficiency?

@ crazyworld. I live about 2 miles from the track and can here them racing everyday. I have seen some of the most amazing cars imaginable drive by my house. The only bummer is that it isn't open to the public, although they were letting the running club that my parents belong to run the track...

Best place to improve to increase efficiency?

I noticed that a recipe that I bought at a local brewshop (about an hour away, so not too local) that was ground there had a much higher efficiency. All of the others have been bought from one of the bigger online suppliers. My volumes tend to be pretty consistent. 7 gallon pre boil, 6 post...
