They sat in in the bottle for about 3 weeks before drinking. Does the citrus flavor typically decrease as time goes on?
Not sure what type of hops. It was 4 types - bittering, flavor, aroma and dry. Not sure if that answers your question.
I've brewed two batches of an amber ale with a decent amount of hops (45 IBU) but it seems to have a citrus taste...kinda like Blue Moon. Any idea what causes that? Is that too much malt? Too little grains? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
After bottling most of my beer, I realized the bottles weren't 100% dry - there was a couple drops of sanitized water in the bottom. Could this potentially ruin the beer or am I being over paranoid? Thanks.
Brewing an IPA - my OG was 1.050 and it was in my primary for just over 4 days and when I transitioned to my secondary carboy my second gravity reading was 1.011. Should I let it sit in the carboy any longer or should I start to bottle. Thanks for any advice.
OK, cool. I haven't taken a reading since it started fermenting - so I'll do that today. Quick question though - it won't negatively affect the batch if I open the lid and take a reading...or should I just pour it in to the test tube through the spigot? Thanks again.
