I recently brewed a pumpkin ale. I used canned pumpkin. I ended up losing a gallon of beer during fermentation because all of the pumpkin settled at the bottom...now so now I only have 4 gallons of beer and I'm ready for bottling. How much priming sugar should I use for a 4 gallon batch?
I just transferred from primary to secondary fermentation and noticed I'm a little low....brewing a 5 gallon batch of a mad elf clone. I noticed in at about 4 1/4 gallons after about 5 days...has anyone else ever had an issue like this? After I added all of my cherries I'm back up to 5 gallons
I'm sure you did have fermentation but my experience with brewers best recipes are that you won't see and kind of activity in your airlock until a few days...hope you didn't ruin the batch.....just be patient and let the yeast do its thing...gravity readings are really the best way to know what...
