    NB's Phat tyre question

I ended up adding .5 lb biscuit grain to the grain bag while steeping. I also used the belgian abbey II liquid yeast. It turned out absolutely fantastic. We compared to some bottles of fat tire and most people preferred the home brew over the fat tire. I really enjoyed it. I have everything...

    NB's Phat tyre question

Tapped the keg last night. It was fantastic. Did a taste test with a bottle of the real thing and boy was it close!! After taste was spot on and very close on the initial taste. Only difference was fat tire had just a bit more biscuitiness. I used the wyeast Belgian abbey II and added .5 lb...

    NB's Phat tyre question

I recently did a batch of NB's phat tyre and i liked it, but it was missing the biscuit flavor that i love about Fat tire. this time I ordered the kit with wyeast 1762 belgian abbey II and instead of the S-04 and i also ordered a pound of crushed belgian biscuit malt. My question is, can...

NOpe I added 2 lb right away and 3 lbs as a late addition So a late extract addition will give it more "hopiness"?

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

So my beer has been stopped for a week now. its stuck at 1.016 which seems high for this beer. Color is great, but it tastes very very sweet. Like to the point its almost undrinkable. unfortunately i dont know what my OG was. Only things i did different was 3 lbs of the DME I added as a...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

temp in the room is 66. Never fried a turkey in it. We've used the pot on the stove before to brew, but decided it would be easier on the fryer outside. could not aerating enough cause this? the guy who normally aerates wasnt there when we brewed, so maybe we didnt do a good enough job?

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Brewed this on march 3rd, its now the 22nd. checked the sg tonight and its still over 1.020. It also tastes very sweet. The color is right and its very clear, but it doesnt taste right. These are my 7th and 8th beers, and never had a problem before. I brewed 2 beers that night (the other is...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Just brewed the extract version of this. Mine is very very dark looking. did I have too much heat? It was the first time we used our propane burner and not our stove top, so im wondering if its possible to heat the beer too much during its boil?
