    I agree and I definitely wouldn't add more yeast at this point. It's a lager anyway so you don't have to be in a rush. I'd leave it two weeks in the fermenter and then check the gravity.

    Your post doesn't state the number of gallons. But I'm guessing 5 gallons? After 3 days your should seem some gravity change with one vial. You can give it a few more days

    If you still suspect a leak. Submerge the whole setup in water and check for bubbles. It should be obvious then.

    Tap water or filtered bottle water?

    Campden tablets really did the trick for me using my tap water. I can taste the chlorine from the tap. From the fridge filter it is much better but even using that water wasn't great. But adding a campden tablet to the pot solves it all

    Doesn't sound like a leak at all. Your CO2 is coming out when your set screw is backed out to zero. That's where the CO2 is coming out.

    I tried mine 6 days after fermentation started. It was okay. Still a bit green. Much better a week later.

    What does it smell like ? Take a hydro sample, then chill it. The consensus of most is that if there is enough alcohol in it then it is unlikely to make you sick. Might give you a case of the runs but I doubt a hydro sample volume will hurt you. Smell it. If it smells okay then I'd take a sip.

    Are the washers some special shape? Why don't you just replace them with another that fits better ? They should come with the correct one but if it's a cheap part then finding a replacement should be doable

    SS BREWTECH has a recommended glycol mix of "mix rate: 1/3 100% Propylene Glycol to 2/3 Distilled Water" so adding one more gallon of water matches that. Maybe someone can chime in with glycol mix rates and how thy effect the coolant chilling ability

    Kegerator Temps

    I have a freezer in my garage in Texas. It is 90F in there all the time. No problems. My kegerator is on my back covered patio, not in direct sun. It works fine there too. The tap tower gets a little warm but cools after a few ounces.

    Can you check the temp of the cooling liquid leaving the freezer vs the temp returning ? Have you tried increasing the liquid reservoir volume ?

    What temperature is the kegerator set to ? Do you have a thermometer ? How cold is he beer in your glass ? Is it your kegerator ? I'd either lengthen the beer line to ten feet and/or switch the faucet to a flow control model.

    When I've mashed at too high a temp I was able to get from 1.02 to 1.01 by adding amalyse enzyme. After adding that I waited another week to check and the FG had dropped and the beer tasted much less sweet to my palette

    So it used to work correctly ? Does it stay in that position when you turn off your co2 and remove the tank ?
