I always dry hop at 55F. Maybe I'll lower it to 52F. I have a modified Fermonster and modified megamouth torpedo keg. So I'm able to rack the beer off the yeast into the keg, then I'm able to use a dry hopper and rouse the hops.

I just got a pound of 2025 Galaxy from YVH. I had to open them and smell them. Not going to lie, they smelled the part, or atleast quite a bit better than past crop years. I can't remember what they smelled like in 2016. I'll be using them in conjunction with some Citra from Hop Heaven...

I used it with Citra and a touch of Galaxy. It was great. Won the pale ale category and took 2nd best in show at a smaller beer comp with it.

I see 2025 Galaxy has hit YVH. Has anyone ordered any yet? I have my fingers crossed that this crop is back to where it was a decade ago. I'll be holding off until I hear from some homebrewers about it.

66% of the WP was HBC 1019, and 45% of the dry hop. My WP was 2lbs. per bbl equivalent, and my DH was 7lbs. per bbl equivalent.

HBC 1019 smells so good out of the bag. I brewed my first hazy February 2016 and it was a take on Congress Street. Galaxy back then was a cheat code. The Galaxy I used in this was a 2024 crop from Hop Alliance. It smelled good from the bag, but I only used about 10% Galaxy in the dry hop. I'm...

Last of my hazy. It's a month and a week old. Citra, HBC 1019, Citra Cryo, and Galaxy. It's called The Named & Nameless.

Kegged my newest hazy. Pilsen, 2-Row, Pale Wheat, Flaked Wheat. Hopped with HBC 1019, Citra Cryo, Citra, and Galaxy. Smells fantastic taste is tropical and green. Carbing and conditioning for a week or two and this should be ready. I'll update as soon as it's ready.

    I HOPE it's true.

I wonder if I just use Krush in the WP since it's one of the hops that has the highest survivables. Then just use something else along with the Citra Cryo and touch of Galaxy.

Has anyone used 2024 Krush from YVH in a recent batch? I just got a half pound and would like to do a double hazy using Krush, Citra Cryo, and a touch of Galaxy.

I've used Bergamot about two years ago, and never got the "orange to the max" aroma or flavor. I just got earthy. Tossed them in the trash and dumped the beer down the drain. Lesson learned.

Lot numbers are great, but I've only found YCH's lot lookup tool, and it's great. HA has a handful of hops they source from YCH, but there are so many more hops coming from other places, their lot numbers don't mean much unless there's a way to look up all the sensory info like you're able to...

I would sure pay alot of money just to get a pound of that Galaxy. I'm forever chasing the Galaxy from 10 years ago.

Galaxy in 2016 and 2017 was a cheat code.
