I have tried Hoegaarden and have tried Blue Moon. The important question is Which one do you like, not which one I like.

    Ayinger Dunkel Clone?

I think you could call it that. That beer finishes it brew process in the bottle, There is a layer of Hefe (yeast) at the bottom. When you fill your class leave about 1cm of beer in the bottle. Swish this around to loosen the sediment, that yeast is poured into the glass, that is considered as...

    Ayinger Dunkel Clone?

I lived about 15 km from Aying for about 20 years. Everyone has their own taste, I have dank a few kegs of their Ayinger Helles, its drinkable not that good; but; Way better than Coors or Bud which I am certain have been recycles a couple times before being bottled. With 1500 breweries in the...

    Ayinger Dunkel Clone?

Use to live close to the Ayinger brewery, did a few tours collected a few glasses of various sizes, never heard of their Dunkel beer. Their beer is considered not that good. Then with over 1500 breweries in a country 2.5 times the size of Florida you can be picky.

    no boil prehopped beer kits

i use to use Cooper and Muntons, they never tasted right to me. Could have been that I kept screwing things up during the brew. I've started to use Festa Brew. I find it quite good for a lazy beer drinker like me. Empty the bag into a barrel add yeast, wait, bottle. No fuss no muss. I save a...

My First Attempt At Growing Hops.

Hops will grow 30 feet high if not more if you let them. They like a well drained loom. That is where we went wrong, trying to grow them in clay. Our best growing crop is stones which you get to harvest after every rain.

    Look out for flying glass

I have a theory as to the cause. The beer was brewed at about 16 degrees C and bottled at 5 Pluto, no priming sugar added. Then another 2 weeks at the same temperature for the fermentation to finish At this lower temperature a lot more CO2 is in solution during the primary fermentation. You...

    Look out for flying glass

When into the dungeon the other day to get some beer, there was glass shrapnel in ever corner of the room. The dungeon is a 2x3.5 meter room under out mud room, concrete walls insulated ceiling and patio stone floor over gravel. A couple of bottles had disintegrated with enough force to...

Is this malt usable for beer

The law was first put forward is 1487 but did not came out until 1516. It was not until the 1800s that Louis Pasteur discovered that microorganisms played a role in fermentation; therefore, yeast was not known to be an ingredient of beer. It was at the time known that bakers usually brewed...
