Well, I was trying to beat it to the shelves, but I saw that I missed it. I'm brewing an imperial pumpkin on Friday. I wanted it in the fermentor to get it ready and cellering so it gets some age on it before October.

Just finished brewing an Oatmeal Stout for a buddy's birthday. Hit my preboil numbers but undershot my post boil numbers. Had a 1/2 gallon left in the kettle......hmm, gotta check my volumes. Such is life, good beer on the way, regardless.

I picked up an expired batch of Omega's Irish Ale yeast and know that I'll need to build it up, probably a few times before using it. The packaged date is 11/9/15 and the online calculators are telling me that viability is between 0-10%. My question is, how do I go about building it up properly...

This weekend, we'll be brewing up a blue moon clone for the wifeys and a Munich SMaSH. I got 3 of my buddies into brewing and we are doing different SMaSHs until we figure out the base malt we want to use as our house variety. :mug: It also has the benefit of being a teaching tool for them!
