    Fermenting under pressure questions

I'm in the process of fermenting a lager under pressure for the first time and had a few questions. I'm trying to keep it simple and straightforward as possible. I have my spunding valve set at 15psi and I plan on leaving it until final gravity. When transferring from my fermenting keg to my...

I need help with 240v gfci tripping

So I decided to look closer into the element and I unscrewed the housing and found water in there. I guess that would probably trip the breaker? I included pictures again. you'll have to excuse my dirty/gross element... https://imgur.com/9heRrJn https://imgur.com/qM4I0wc...

I need help with 240v gfci tripping

Sorry I'm pretty new at this but how would I go about energize the element? I assume when you say "disconnect your element from the breaker" you mean my control box? I pretty sure I would be able to get my hands on a megger meter. I'll try testing with that. Thanks

I need help with 240v gfci tripping

I recently installed a 240v gfci breaker for my pre built 240v electric control panel and a 4500w ULWD heating element. Ever since installing the gfci breaker, it keeps tripping for some reason. When the breaker was installed, I put about 5 gallons of water in my pot to test out the breaker in...

    Questions about EBIAB mash recirculation

I'm planning a brewday with my newly built EBIAB system. I have a fews questions about mash recirculation. I will be using a PID controller to control the mash temps and have a chugger pump with a ball valve on the outlet side to adjust the outflow speed. 1. What should the mash water flow...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Like Pkrd said 10 days should be good. I would start checking the gravity every 2 days for consistent numbers.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I have to take back what I said. After sitting in the keg for 3-4 weeks it really turned around and is tasting pretty damn good. Sorry for being so harsh at first, this is a great recipe. Might have to try it again with a few modifications.

    Saison Cottage House Saison

OP what was your brewhouse efficiency? I was about 11 points under your OG with a 72% brewhouse efficiency and I always seems to hit the numbers on other recipes. Not sure what I did wrong... EDIT: nevermind just remembered I forgot the honey and just found your efficiency at 75%

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I made this beer recently and while it was clean and drinkable, mine came out very very dry and with very low hop presence. I was hoping someone could explain what might of been the cause. To start things off my OG was 1.043 and it fermented down to 1.004 after 2 weeks. The yeast I had on hand...
