This is a pretty large bag and I've been fermenting in a 6-8 gallon bucket, never tried fermenting in a carboy yet so that makes it much easier.

I'm 3 brews in and I found that using the hop bags are a god sent. 1st brew: IPA with 2 oz of dry hops, used the hop bag... bottling day came and I didn't have any issues when it came to siphoning the beer. 2nd brew: IPA with about 2 oz dry hops, didn't use the hop bag... holy moly there...

My first attempt at home brewing was a SN Torpedo clone from Jasper's and it came out great. I have a clone of Gandhi Bot bottle conditioning and a clone of Pliny fermenting. The Pliny was from Jasper's and the Gandhi Bit was from my LHBS

As the title says which one do you folks recommend... I'm thinking this will be my next batch, and input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Larry

I bought an extract kit from my LHBS, I emailed them a couple days later I was thinking of changing the recipe to full boil and was concerned what I bought from them. I don't know how they calculated it out but the only change they said to do was deduct 22%of my battering hops, everything else...

I knew it would never be a money saver, just the satisfaction of somebody trying a beer you made from scratch... and the kicker is when they say it tastes better then original. I need to keep more beer going at all times, Ideally I should have a batch in the fermentor, a batch carbonating ...

Sweet, had it about 3 times, way to far of a drive for me. One of reps at work drives by there once in a while, he surprises us with Heady... His sales go up after. :-)

My first brew came and went without a hitch, I found being patient is key during fermentation and after bottling. Thought I was going to have a full 5 gallons, ended up with 43 bottles. Here's how they went. Stated with 42 Had a flat one during bottling (I hate odd numbers) 41 left...

What if I'm boiling 3.5 gallons of water/wort, then adding water after the boil to get to 5.25 gallons before pitching the yeast. What number would I put where?
