I would prefer real pumpkin over canned, but we have enough supplies for two batches, so I might try canned pumpkin and real pumpkin and see if using one over the other makes a real difference. :D

I know that many people say that using pumpkin in beer is kind of useless, though it kind of seems like cheating to make a pumpkin beer sans pumpkin.

We added about a half gallon too much on our first batch, and it turned out fine.

Fort Collins is just up the road, and they have a ton of brewery's worth checking out for tours. Though I'be heard from many others that New Belgium fills up pretty fast (but there might be people who just don't show up, so you might have some luck.)

Does something like this necessarily need to be racked to secondary? I'm still new at this and have yet to do a secondary, just because it seems unnecessary most of the time.

Well, at least I'm not the only one who thinks boyfriend should go to the meeting. The problem is that he's pretty antisocial and generally quiet and shy. Usually, he doesn't do social activities unless I make him come :P
