    Fermenter lid failure

All, looking for a little input here. I recently picked up a grainfather and made my first batch with it. I use the wide mouth bubbler fermenter I think it’s called that anyways. So I started fermenting with wyeast British ale yeast and an airlock. Didn’t ferment for a couple days so I threw in...

    High og

Yea it’s a very strange brew. I’m sure it’ll be fine in the end. I like to make up my own recipes every time I’ve brewed a kit it comes out different than expected.

    High og

Yea I milked it myself I milked it at .050, I took a hydrometer reading at 78 degrees, my final amount into the fermenter was a little short but not by much I did notice there was a lot more debri in the wort when I put it in the fermenter a considerable amount more than normal.

    High og

Hey y’all, brewed a hop slam clone from aih today. It’s target og is 1078 I ended up with 1096. I followed the recipe exact. Any reason my og came out so much higher than expected. I don’t usually buy the kits but I figured ide try it.

    Grainfather upgrade

Jag, is the grainfather built to last, with quality materials or is it the typical flimsy metal that dents and bends. I want to be able to use this thing for many years if I’m going to drop a grand on it?

    Grainfather upgrade

I was tossed between the robobrew and grainfather one of the down falls I noticed was the low watts for the heating element in the robobrew making the time to boil longer and like you said keeping the temp where you want it.

    Grainfather upgrade

hey all, I’ve been brewing for a couple years now and I’m thinking about upgrading from the traditional pots and cooler mash tun to the grainfather. Any info or suggestions? I’m more or less trying to get off the propane burner and into a one kettle/mash tun combo. I’ve watched a few videos...

    Original gravity variation

Thanks for the input I appreciate it. I’m going to pick up a grain mill I think the premilled grains I’ve been getting from homebrew.org are to course to get the most sugar extraction. Everything else I’m doing should be right on the money.
