    Love Golf?

I got in three rounds last week but will have to be content hitting into my backyard net this week, doing a little work on the house. Maybe that will help me with a swing change.

My wife thought the burn pile might qualify for a modern sculpture. I think it qualifies as random enough.

One of the regulars in our golf group brings his two dogs everytime he plays. Another brings his one dog. So, it's essentially a dog park where you can also play golf.

Maybe the remark is not original, but a Cajun I worked with (who didn't learn English until he started to school, so imagine that accent) put it this way: "Oh no, that golf, that's not a game for me. You got to try and hit the ball a long ways, then you got to go and try to find the ball. Then...

Dear physicist, Cool! Perceptions can indeed be deceiving. That's why I prefer to base my opinion of golf balls on independent testing. Sincerely, Still Ain't Hitting Top Flites (Unless provided convincing evidence that they are manufactured with adequate quality control, have the proper...

Dear fellow players at the local golf course, A shout out to those who do not waste much time looking for wayward hit balls. I save a lot of money hitting found balls. But for those of you using low quality balls, may I suggest upgrading? My stinginess has its limits. They don't have to be...

Corked Champagne Bottles. Multi Purpose- Mead, Beer, Wine, Cider, Aging & Carbonated

It's good to have the options of either capping or corking, for me. Cappers are cheap and floor corkers are well worth the price.

Corked Champagne Bottles. Multi Purpose- Mead, Beer, Wine, Cider, Aging & Carbonated

If you have strong Belgian bottles, such as Duvel type or Oval type, you can carbonate to pretty high levels. I have to pour my Belgian blondes slowly, as you would the beers I named. I've rarely had any problem with a cap leaking. But pay extra attention to your calculations and methods if you...

Corked Champagne Bottles. Multi Purpose- Mead, Beer, Wine, Cider, Aging & Carbonated

I second the notion of small Belgian bottles. I have 750 ml Belgian bottles and a floor corker that usually gather dust, simply because I don't usually want to drink that much (my wife usually drinks wine now), they don't fit in the frig or store as easily. Swing tops are nice, work for a lot...

Dear Wimbledon, ESPN and others who post tennis match highlights on Youtube, Why do you have to tell me who won in the title of the video. Has it never occurred to you that watching without knowing who won would be more entertaining? BTW, I would allow one exception. Please let me know if...
