I ended up getting the issue resolved, there was a hairline crack in the 'cup' that the o-ring section of the membrane slides into. So the water was flowing right around the membrane. Ended up having to order a new housing.

So I purchased a 5 stage R.O. system, out of the box everything worked great. I had a couple great brews and then I figured I wouldn't use it for a couple months so I disassembled everything and dried it out. I reassembled last week and that's when I learned that the membranes need to be kept...
