hurray, thanks for this. I knew I was missing a step! I now have it running on a Centos 7 VM. (I already have it running & didn't want to create a new debian vm.)

I just went through this with a MyPin TD4 controller.
I found the wiring diagram in the Caveman Sous Vide post to be very helpful to understand the wiring & the path of the load.

Thanks iijakii. Do you think that it makes a difference that I have constant 24v from pin 3+4 on the PID side? It's on even when the output light goes out.

I have seen this mistake in the instructions mentioned in a number of places. Now I wish that is what was making mine not work.
I have the opposite problem.... The light on the SSR never goes out and the load side is always hot. It does not turn off even when the output light on PID is off.
