I brewed this yesterday and my OG came in at 1.055. Not sure what I did wrong, but I suspect a didn’t get as much boil off as usual since I have almost 6 gallons in the fermentor. It’s bubbling away, but I’m worried about missing my numbers. Should I add in some boiled sugar water?

It's not as I had hoped. The thing that I have learned about polishing theses kegs is that you will then see every blemish, and the ones I've found are pretty beat up.

I've e-mailed Bobby for his take. The TSP makes sense, as that's part of the oxygen brew cleaner. Maybe that's why mine came so clean on the boil keggle.

I'm curious about this myself. I built a brew keggle using those fittings and think I did a good job of keeping them clean. I'm now about to build my mash tun and will be using at least one half coupler pulled through and soldered. I'm worried about getting flux in there. I hope Bobby will see...

I purchased the jaybird level three false bottom for my keggle and a solder fitting from brewhardware.com along with the appropriate diptube. It's getting it first brew day tomorrow, but on the wet test, it sucked almost every drop out of the bottom.

I was about to reply that brewhardware.com sells a fitting to be soldered on for TC connections, but Bobby already has pointed it out. I just watched the video on YouTube today. The fittings I've gotten from him, albeit not TC, have been spot in and soldered on flawlessly!
