    Star San worry

I've had a side project creating home brewing calculators. I just got a dilution calculator updated to include liters and milliliters. Hope you'll find this helpful! http://www.calczilla.com/brewing/sanitizer-dilution/

Yeast Help For First Lagers -> Helles to Maibock

Very cool tgmartin! I think I'll try it out as well. I don't have an IC. But after reading more aout jamil's recirculating whirlpool chiller, I might try that out - it makes a lot of sense. It will be nice to have a helles and a maibock for the spring/summer.

Yeast Help For First Lagers -> Helles to Maibock

I would like to brew a maibock for may and spring time. It would be my first lager, but when I saw I needed like 5l of starter or 5 vials of yeast, I thought - "wait a sec...you're probably doing this wrong." I listened to the old Jamil Show on brewing a maibock and he recommend brewing a...

kegging/brewing calcs - looking for feedback!

Hey guys, I've just started a small side project and I'm putting together some brewing calculators. Right now I have force carbonation, hydrometer correction, and keg balancing. Things I found myself needing to look up constantly (especially as I was kegging this last weekend). My goal is to...

How long should i ferment my beer?

Agreed. I did the secondary thing for the first few beers, but then started reading more and more that it was largely unnecessary. I haven't used a secondary unless I'm dry hopping or as Banshee says - adding fruit or other flavor. It's so much easier to just leave it in and siphon from above...

    Under Counter Kegerator Thoughts?

Ahhh good advice! I'll def check on the 10foot lines! Thanks very much for the feedback on that. Unfortunately they said they wouldn't switch the taps for perlicks as an optional upgrade, i would have to get the regular taps and then buy the perlicks individually :( Either way - I think the...

    Under Counter Kegerator Thoughts?

I know it's mostly a DIY crowd around here - and I appreciate rolling up my sleeves as much as the next guy, but I'm considering just spending money on this one. I have a chest freezer that I use currently as fermentation chamber / conditioning / serving (just a picnic tap right now, no...

I think that's just the thing! Thank you!

Blichmann Beergun on manifold, no tee?

Hey all - update on this. I received my manifold, beer gun, and beer gun accessory kit from morebeer today. My question is - is there a way to replace one of the 5/16'' barb that's on the manifold with a piece that will allow me to screw a 1/4 flare fitting directly in? Or do I need to run a...

Blichmann Beergun on manifold, no tee?

Hey guys, Considering getting the beer gun. I have a 4 way manifold already off of my 1 tank/regulator. Can I skip getting the t or y fitting and just hook up a co2 line from a spare outlet on the manifold? Seems like I should be able to, just want to make sure before making an order. Thanks!
