I have added the hops already and the week of dry hopping is up. I have an extra Carboy I might just rack into it and bottle when I get some. There is no LHBS where I live I would have to drive to San Diego. Thanks for the feedback guys I'm thankful for the advice.
I have a imperial red ale that needs to be bottled and I'm out of bottles. The recipe calls for a week of dry hopping. My question is since I won't be bottling this week should I move the beer off the hops? First time dry hopping and not sure what prolonged dry hopping will do. Thanks
Looks good getting ready to bottle my first Saison in about two days. They are a great style and the yeast I used was a trip to say the least. Fermented in the high 70s low80s for about eight weeks. Funky spicy fruit notes all the way
Thanks for the feed back! I'm still not sure what ill d I'm thinking of maybe just making a batch specifically with this yeast as a secondary fermentation. Or ill just split the Saison as I was saying. Lol never a dull moment
That's true but I've read that certain brewers use a second yeast for bottle conditioning. Was curios if the Brett L would be a good yeast to use. I believe that a majority use the Brett B for bottle conditioning. Thanks for the input tho.
Hey all I'm new to the forum and to home brewing. I have a quick question. I brewed a Saison kit from NB used the the 3724 from Wyeast. It's pretty much done with primary fermentation. My question is that I also have a vial of WLP 653 which is the Brett L strain. Is this a good strain to bottle...
Brett in general will take a while to ferment. It has a wide temp range but is more active in the mid 80's. I would raise the temp with a electric blanket and see if that helps. Also just give it some time to do its thing. Def want to know how this turns out.
Hello
I have a vial of white labs Brett L and not really sure what to do with it. Has anyone used this strain before? I was thinking of splitting a five gallon batch of my Saison and either dump the vial into the Carboy. My second thought was to bottle condition half the beers with the Brett L...
Failed to mention that the Saison has already been fermented with regular yeast and is in secondary. The strain is WLP 653 I've never used it before and was curious if anyone here has used it or bottle conditioned with it. Thanks again guys

Thanks.
That is the yeast I'm referring to. I was planing on using this yeast as a secondary yeast or to bottle condition with it. The Saison I mentioned is already pretty much done fermenting. I used regular Sacc yeast for the primary. Was just curious if anyone has used this strain and could...
