The landscape fabric came from a local nursery. It's pretty hefty stuff. Not the garbage they sell at Lowes or Home Depot.

Looking good. When were they planted?

Here's what a found when I pulled back the landscape fabric around my hops. These were planted in spring of 2009. I think its time to give the crowns a trim.

I'm in Williamsport PA. I have the KAB4 burner. I can control the flame with the shut-off valve, and can get most of the orange out at ~1/2open. That will also keep the flames from running up the side of the kettle. But at that setting, I'm only able to take 7gal from 95F to 130F in 15min...

I also made the conversion to NG. But I can't seem to adjust my flame...yellow/orange flame. Did you have to modify the burner to allow the flame to breath better?

Encourage them to get the keg...then convert it to a keggle.
