I have two kegs that I am trying to fix. One has about a 1/2 hole in the very bottom I want to patch. The other had a hole as well. It has been welded but the weld cracked. It might be pretty easy to fix it.

I am somewhat experienced mig welder but have never welded s.s. I do have a practice keg.

you guys are right. I got to looking a little closer and the upper valve does say Hoff-Stevens. I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Probably scrap it and make a few dollars to buy something I can use in my home brewery. Thanks for the replies

Wheres the best place to buy a thermapen? I've found them at kitchen supply shops but was wondering if any homebrew shops sell them. I'd rather support a homebrew shop. Thanks
